...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY
NIGHT...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Ohio, northeast Ohio and
northwest Ohio, including the following counties, in north central
Ohio, Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion and Richland. In
northeast Ohio, Holmes. In northwest Ohio, Hancock, Sandusky,
Seneca, Wood and Wyandot.
* WHEN...From Friday morning through late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A strong storm system will bring widespread rain of 1 to 1.5
inches across the region, with locally higher amounts
possible across Northwest Ohio. Heavy rainfall combined with
wet antecedent conditions will lead to flooding and river
rises.
